Chapter five
At 14 I couldn't say my life had changed much. I felt it was about too. I knew we would soon start filming a movie called Atlantica and that I would be the only girl in the fictional band. John (I had stopped calling him Johnny when we turned 13) was going to be my boyfriend in the Movie, which was real. He was my boyfriend. About 2 months after Mum died, he had asked me out. Some people think it is amazing that we lasted two years, almost three years. George was also in the movie as the bass player. John played Lead guitar and I play rhythm guitar. Ritchie played the drums in the band. We were actually pretty good and some people said that we should make it a real band and take on tour.
Only Dad was not happy about it. He didn't want us to go though what he had been though with the Beatles and later with Wings. I really didn't think that that would be a problem. At least not with what Mr. Fredrick says. He is the man who is going to manage us. I believe that since he has been hired as a manager by Uncle Nell (Neil Aspinall) that he knows what he is doing. Uncle Nell would never chose anyone he would think not good enough for us. Mr. Fredrick says that I am not that great looking (although he still seems to stare at me and make me a tad uncomfortable) and that I was fat. I am trying to lose weight ( I lost about three pounds so far. My diet isn't that good but there is no way I am going to starve myself) Dad seems to notice that, and is not happy about that but It's my body and he can do nothing about it.
"Hey Macca Jr. Get down here and eat your lunch! Your music can wait." Trust my Aunt Lanie to call me that. We were spending a couple of weeks at my father's ranch with my Uncle Mike and his wife. My sisters and brother were not there as well as my cousins. John and Julian were coming that night because Jules needed to relax and he couldn't do in London because he would still work. I walked down stairs to smell my aunt cooking her world famous grilled cheese sandwiches and noodle soup. I loved it when Lanie cooked. My father was never a good cook, so it is a nice change from TV diners or badly cooked food. After dad started to go out with Heather, she has been trying to teach him how to cook. Usually I end up cooking anyway.
I sat down at the table and was about to eat when I heard a car coming up the driveway. We were not expecting anyone till that afternoon so all three of were surprised. I walked to the door and saw a black corvette driving up the driveway. I knew only one person who drove that color of car. Once they were parked I ran out to them and jumped into John's arms. We hugged for a minute or two before I moved onto Glorie. She was my best friend other then John despite the age difference.
"Hiya, Gloria."
"Hi Annie." we hugged for a little while. I was going to go on to Julian and the kids but Noticed they weren't there.]
"Hey, where is Jules and the boys?"
"Alex has the chicken pox and Marc might come down with it and Julian decided to stay home with them. I guess he wanted to have a father-son thing with them although why do that when they are sick, but you know Jules is about being a Father."
"Yeah. "
"ANASTASIA MICHELLE MCCARTNEY! ARE YOU GOING TO ASK THEM IN OR ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE THEM WAIT OUT THERE"
"I guess your aunt is a little irritated with you, today, Anne." laughed John. I loved his laugh. For that matter I loved everything about him. I knew at fourteen, you are usually too young to be in love with a guy but I knew that John was meant to be the person I loved, and I did. I didn't think I could love anyone more then I loved him.
"Yeah I guess." I leaned in and kissed him." Do you want to come in?"
"Of course I would silly!" he smiled at me, making me melt. We walked inside. I took John to his room and Gloria to mine. We decided that Glorie and I would have a sleepover thing. Had Julian and the kids come, I would have shared the room with Alex and John with Marc. I walked them in and we all went into the dining room and ate the sandwiches (which, I might add are John's favorite) and then the guys went outside to play football while my aunt, Gloria and I went inside to watch X-men. My Aunt had a little bit of a crush on Patrick Stewart and Gloria and I were die-hard Wolverine fans.
